Rosemond Returns to OU Basketball
Oregon men’s basketball head coach Dana Altman announced that UO alum Yasir Rosemond is rejoining the Ducks’ coaching staff. Rosemond spent the last four seasons at Indiana, including three as associate head coach, helping the Hoosiers to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances. He previously coached at Alabama, Georgia, Samford, and Seattle, and spent five seasons on Oregon’s staff from 2005 to 2010. A former Duck player from 1997 to 1999, Rosemond brings a strong track record of player development and recruiting success back to Eugene.
Siuslaw Open
The 15th Annual Siuslaw Open raised approximately $14,000 for Siuslaw Outreach Services, with 18 teams competing. Coldwell Banker Coast Real Estate took first place gross with a score of 56, while River Ridge Fanatics won first net with a score of 44. Contest highlights included Nick Johnson winning the chipping contest and Gary Kadel taking home $100 in the putting contest. No winners were declared for the Florence Motor Sports ATV or the Rotary Club’s $5K Putt. The event was presented by Waterfront Depot and supported by local sponsors including Abel Insurance and PeaceHealth.
