Maxwell Award

Oregon State running back Anthony Hankerson and quarterback Maalik Murphy have been named to the Maxwell Award preseason watch list, recognizing the top player in college football. Hankerson rushed for over 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2024, while Murphy, a transfer from Duke, threw for nearly 3,000 yards and 26 scores last season. The Beavers are one of just 17 teams with multiple players on the 80-man list. The Maxwell Award winner will be announced this December at the College Football Awards Show.

Duck Alumni Honors

Longtime broadcaster Jerry Allen, known as the “Voice of the Ducks,” and two standout student-athletes will receive the University of Oregon Athletic Department’s top alumni honors. Allen, famous for his call of Kenny Wheaton’s 1994 interception, will be honored with the 2025 Order of the O. Offensive lineman Michael DeLaGrange receives the Leo Harris Award, and soccer goalkeeper Sarah Peters will be awarded the Becky L. Sisley Award.
