The Eugene Emeralds fell to the Everett AquaSox 7-4 in game one of their series. The Ems led 4-1 heading into the 8th, but Everett rallied with six unanswered runs in the final two innings for the comeback win. Zander Darby and Quinn McDaniel each homered for Eugene, and starter Greg Farone threw five scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Despite the loss, the Emeralds hold a 23-8 record in the second half and remain six games ahead in the standings.

Ducks on Watch List

Six Oregon Ducks have been named to preseason watch lists for major college football awards. Linebackers Bryce Boettcher and Matayo Uiagalelei, along with defensive back Dillon Thieneman, are up for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, honoring the nation’s top defensive player. Offensive linemen Iapani Laloulu, Emmanuel Pregnon, and Isaiah World are on the watch list for the Outland Trophy, awarded to the best interior lineman. The reigning Big Ten champions open fall camp today as they gear up for the 2025 season.
