Ems Trounce Aquasox
The Eugene Emeralds took down the Everett AquaSox 10-4 last night, their second straight win over the Frogs. With the victory, Eugene improved to 40-16 in the second half and lowered their magic number to just two — meaning they could clinch the Northwest League second-half title as early as tomorrow. Greg Farone set the tone with six scoreless innings on the mound, while the Ems’ offense exploded with a seven-run eighth inning, capped off by Nate Furman’s grand slam. Eugene now sits on the brink of another playoff run.
