Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club and Coast Radio Sports congratulate [Siuslaw Viking sophomore Yair Brito Xilot. As this week’s Athlete of the week. In the Sweet Home game, he kept a clean sheet in the half he played in goal. Against Dayton, he was an important part of both the attack and defense as a wing midfielder, scoring the team’s only goal. He also netted a second that was called back on another player’s foul, and made several key defensive stops in the goal area to keep Dayton from scoring for most of the game.
Honorable Mention
Honorable Mention goes to Viking senior Adylin Holbrook who placed 4th in last week’s Fugate Farms invite with a time of 21:01.68.
Siuslaw Soccer
Siuslaw Viking soccer will take the field today with the girls hosting Central Linn at 6:30 pm. the boys will host Marshfield beginning at 4:30.
Siuslaw Volleyball
Viking volleyball will be in Bandon to face Brookings-Harbor beginning at 5:30.
Eugene Emeralds
After finishing out the regular season with a 6 game series win over Spokane. The Eugene Emeralds take the field this evening for the run at the league championships. They will face the Everett AquaSox beginning at 6:30 from PK Park.
