Ems Win

The Eugene Emeralds evened the Northwest League Championship series at one game apiece, defeating the Everett AquaSox 4-2 in their final home game of the season. Eugene took the lead in the 3rd inning when Jakob Christian drove in Charlie Szykowny. In the 6th, Christian scored on a triple by Zane Zielinski, who later came home on a balk. Luke Shliger added insurance with a solo homer in the 8th. Josh Bostick earned his 10th win, striking out eight over six shutout innings. Everett rallied in the 9th, but the Ems turned a game-ending double play to secure the win and send fans home happy in their 70th season of Emeralds baseball.
