Boy’s Soccer
The Siuslaw boy’s soccer team took control early against La Pine, matching the Hawks’ ten-player lineup by removing one midfielder. Despite a few close breakaway chances from La Pine, the Vikings dominated possession and tempo. In the first half, Siuslaw fired off 24 shots and scored four goals — two from Terrance Masterman, and one each from Kale Jensen and Sailor Jensen. In the second half, the Vikings rotated players to give subs more time on the field but kept up the pressure, adding four more goals — from Kale Jensen, Asher Borgnino, Bentley Nelson, and Aris Lade, who scored on a powerful shot from outside the box. Yair Brito-Xilot tallied six saves in goal, while Henry Stone made four in his goalkeeper debut as Siuslaw shut out La Pine, 8–0.
