Dayton Defeats Siuslaw

Siuslaw traveled to Dayton Wednesday for Round 2 of the state playoffs. The Vikings opened strong, maintaining possession and pressuring the Pirates early, but Dayton capitalized with two goals in the first half. In the second half, Siuslaw tightened its defense — with goalkeeper Terrance Masterman making nine more saves, including a stopped penalty kick — holding Dayton scoreless the rest of the way. Despite several shots on goal, the Vikings couldn’t break through, falling 2–0.
