Rivalry Series

The Oregon Ducks pushed their record to 4–0 with an 87–75 victory over Oregon State on Monday night at Matthew Knight Arena. Oregon natives Nate Bittle and Jackson Shelstad powered the win, scoring 24 and 22 points, while Kwame Evans Jr. added a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. The Ducks opened the game on an 11–0 run and never trailed after halftime, holding off multiple Beaver rallies. With the win, Oregon extends its rivalry streak to nine straight over OSU. The Ducks now get a week off before heading to Las Vegas to defend their Players Era Festival title.

Oregon State took its first loss of the season Monday night, falling 87–75 to Oregon in Eugene. Isaiah Sy led the Beavers with 14 points, hitting all seven of his free throws, while Josiah Lake II and Yaak Yaak each added 10. Oregon State’s bench contributed 40 points, but foul trouble was a major obstacle, with the Beavers whistled for 27 fouls compared to 17 on the Ducks. After overcoming an early 11–0 deficit, Oregon State briefly took the lead late in the first half and fought back to within three midway through the second, but couldn’t close the gap. The Beavers now turn their attention to the Paradise Jam, opening Friday against Evansville.
