Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club and Coast Radio Sports congratulate senior Siuslaw lady wrestler Danin Lacouture as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Danin competed in the Rollie Lane Wrestling Invitational in Nampa Idaho where she went 5-1 in the tournament taking a second place finish scoring 31 of the 43 points for the Vikings.
Honorable Mention
Honorable mention goes to Viking girls Basketball’s Aidell Cadet who continue to put in strong performance for the team including 14 points for the Vikings in their win last week against Oakridge.
Ducks Fall in OT
The Oregon Ducks fall to 8-7 on the season after a tough loss last night to Rutgers despite Wei Lin’s 6 three pointers that propelled the duck to overtime. Kwame Evans had his third double-double of the season with 14 points and 13 rebounds in the 88-85 loss.
