Viking Basketball
The Siuslaw Vikings begin a home stand tonight, hosting Sutherlin in basketball action. The Vikings will play four of their final five games at home. The girls tip off at 5:30, with a 5:15 pregame on KCST, followed by the boys game. The Sutherlin boys sit one game ahead of Siuslaw in the standings, and the Vikings will need a win tonight to keep their postseason hopes alive.
Mapleton Girls Clinch Division
The Mapleton Sailors girls have clinched their division with an impressive 50-26 win against Crow last night to finish league play at 7-0. they still have two games remaining against siletz on Monday and finishing out the season on the 11th against toledo.
Mapleton Boys
The Mapleton Boys will likely be in the post season with a Victory last night against Crow pulling out a nail biter 33-31 giving them a 5-2 record and a second place finish in league play.
Wrestling
The Siuslaw Viking girls wrestling team will compete tomorrow at the Cottage Grove Girls Invitational. The tournament features 27 schools from across the state.
Competition gets underway at 10 a.m. in Cottage Grove, with Siuslaw and Mapleton represented in the field.
