Dunes City Councilors will not be discussing either of the two ordinances that would alter or abolish regulations requiring regular inspection and monitoring of septic systems this evening. Mayor Becky Ruede said the City Recorder and attorney discovered the original septic ordinance was actually a land-use regulation and thereby subject to a different set of procedures when dealing with changes. She said rather than continue as originally planned this evening, they’ll re-start the process using the correct code provisions. The Dunes City Council meets tonight, seven PM, at Dunes City Hall.
