More options are on the road for electric vehicles. The Oregon Department of Transportation announce a series of 22 ‘fast-charging’ stations will be built in the next year. They’ll stretch from Florence to Astoria on the coast, and from Hood River to Sisters inland. Each station will be able to recharge an electric car in 30-minutes, extending the cars’ range from short commutes around cities to extended trips to the beach or mountains. Florence already has a charging station. Driftwood Shores unveiled one last week.
