The closing date for applicants seeking the manager’s position at the Port of Siuslaw is coming up this Friday. Port Commissioner John Scott says already they’ve received about a dozen applications that will be reviewed beginning next week. Scott says their first choice was Susy Lacer, a part time employee who is “a very capable person”. She made it clear, however, that she doesn’t wish to work full time and told them she would only fill in until October 15th.
