Braydon Thornton
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News, and Coast Radio Sports congratulate freshman basketball standout Braydon Thornton as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Coach Dylan Perry says Thornton was the only freshman in the Sky-Em league to receive all league votes and was selected to the Sky-Em all defensive team. In the Viking’s last two games Thornton averaged 15 points per game with 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals.
Honorable mention goes to sophomore Lindsey Long who scored 15 points in last week’s 56-51 win over Elmira.
