PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police have a 20-year-old suspect jailed in the shooting deaths of a man and his mother in southeast Portland. Officers checking a report of shots fired Saturday night found the bodies of 32-year-old Josh Smith and 54-year-old Tamara Smith. Within minutes, detectives arrested William Cole McCamman on murder charges. KGW reported the shooting resulted from a dispute over a cell phone memory card or SIM card.

SEASIDE, Ore. (AP) – Police say they’ve made an arrest in the deaths of a man and a woman found in a Seaside home. Seaside Police and Clatsop County deputies on Saturday charged Marcus Foster with two counts of aggravated murder. Inside the home were the bodies of Laura Foster and a man in his 60s, whose identity is being withheld. Police have not clarified the relationship between Laura and Marcus Foster. Police believe the pair were beaten with a baseball bat on Thursday.

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (AP) – An autopsy is expected to be completed today on the body of a 24-year-old inmate at the Cottage Grove Municipal Jail on Saturday. The Register-Guard reports the man did not suffer any apparent injuries or trauma, and there was no sign of foul play. The man’s name is being withheld until his next of kin are notified. He was in jail on drug-related charges.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Oregon is $4.01, a penny in a week and a dime in a month. It’s 23 cents higher than the national average. Some metro prices — Portland $4, Salem $4, Eugene-Springfield $4.02, Medford-Ashland $4.05.
