There will be no changes in the coaching staff for the Eugene Emeralds in the coming season. The San Diego Padres affiliate will have Pat Murphy at the helm for the second season in a row. Murphy guided the Ems to their most successful season, 46-and-30, since becoming a Padres affiliate 11 years ago. The former Arizona State University coach joined the Padres organization two years ago. Hitting coach Chris Prieto and pitching coach Nelson Cruz will also return for their second season in Eugene. The Emeralds open the 2012 campaign at PK Park Friday Night, June 15th against the Yakima Bears.
