The Three Rivers Sandblasters downed Napa, California 11-nothing yesterday in day two of the Papa’s Pizza Invitational.  Three Rivers will face the Canyon Crushers of North Salem and the Eugene Challengers this evening in back to back games at Swede Johnson Stadium in Eugene.  They’ll face Salt Lake’s ‘red’ squad tomorrow at 11:30 before wrapping up the tournament Sunday.

Ronnie Richardson dropped a hit into centerfield in the bottom of the 12th inning to score Corey Adamson and the Eugene Emeralds came away with a 7-6 win over the Everett Aqua Sox last night at PK Park in Eugene.  Richardson, the Emeralds’ center fielder, was three-for-seven at the plate with three RBI and the Ems take a 3-2 advantage in the six-game split series against the Sox into night’s series final.  Eugene is 3 ½ games behind Everett in the West Division of the Northwest League.  Tomorrow the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes will be in Eugene for the first of a three-game series.
