Prep volleyball gets underway on area courts tonight. The Viking Varsity opens at home against the Elmira Falcons at Six this evening. Mapleton Volleyball will be on the road to face Siletz Valley.
There’ll be plenty of volleyball in Reedsport this coming weekend as the 23rd annual Dune Classic opens at Reedsport Community Charter School. Eight teams, including 2A State Runner Up Reedsport and defending Dunes Classic champion Siuslaw, will be participating in pool play beginning at ten with the top two teams in each pool advancing to semi-finals at four. The championship match begins at 5:15. The tournament is organized by the Reedsport Braves Boosters Association.
