SEATTLE (AP) – A baby that Seattle authorities say was endangered has been located safe in Oregon. King County, Wash., deputies say the woman’s seven other children have been removed by Child Protective Services due to abuse, neglect and mental health issues.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Former University of Oregon dean of music Anne Dhu McLucas is dead after she and a man were found injured at a home south of Eugene. Lane County say deputies responding to a 911 call Friday found McLucas and James Gillette, who was dead by the time they arrived. His 36-year-old son Johan Gillette is facing two murder counts.

REDMOND, Ore. (AP) – Redmond police shut down a weekend motorcycle rally following a confrontation between biker gangs. Police said a large contingent of the Mongols arrived at the Run to the Cascades rally Saturday night and the Hells Angels with violence if they didn’t leave. KTVZ-TV reports the Hells Angels left but witnesses told police said they said they were coming back with more members to settle the dispute. That’s when police shut down the event.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan stops in Portland today. No public events are planned as he holds a private fundraiser at the Governor Hotel.
