Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) – Kevin Kolb replaced injured John Skelton and led Arizona on the deciding touchdown drive, throwing 6 yards to Andre Roberts for a score with 4:59 to play, and the Cardinals held on to beat the Seattle Seahawks 20-16 yesterday. Kolb was 6 of 8 for 66 yards on the winning drive.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) – Replacement officials in the game between Arizona and Seattle made a mistake by awarding the Seahawks an extra timeout in the closing seconds. Under NFL rules, teams are required to use a timeout for an injured player in the final two minutes.

SEATTLE (AP) – Jonny Gomes hit a three-run home run, Tommy Milone worked six strong innings and the Oakland Athletics finished off a three-game sweep of the Seattle Mariners with a 4-2 victory yesterday. Milone notched 10 strikeouts and had no walks.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – It has become a staple of Mike Riley’s time at Oregon State. When the Beavers pull at least one upset of a Top 25 team, their regular season usually turns out to be pretty good. The rarity is getting that in game No. 1. The Beavers did just that on Saturday using a suffocating defense to stymie then-No. 13 Wisconsin 10-7.
