EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – No charges will be filed against Lane County Commissioner Rob Handy over allegations he misused his office. The Ontario Argus-Observer reports no arrests were made, and Malheur County Sheriff Brian Wolfe said none is expected this week. He said a substantial amount of marijuana will be confiscated.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland State coach Nigel Burton has fired defensive coordinator Eric Jackson effective immediately. The Vikings opened with a victory over Carroll College but fell 45-37 at North Dakota last weekend. Portland State travels to Washington to face the Huskies on Saturday.
