NAPAVINE, Wash. (AP) – The Washington State Patrol says a 14-year-old Portland girl was driving under the influence when she swerved to avoid a deer on Interstate 5 early yesterday south of Chehalis. Also in the car were a 16-year-old girl who ran away from home and a 51-year-old Portland man who owns the van. The girls were treated at a hospital for minor injuries. The man declined treatment for a cut on his forehead.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland Police say an 11-year-old girl has died after falling out of a party bus window in downtown Portland. The Oregonian reports the bus was carrying about 20 kids to a quinceañera (KEEN’-sen-yer-uh) party when the girl fell out of an emergency window when the bus rounded a corner Saturday evening. Police say the force of the girl’s body against the window during the turn caused her to fall out.

WALLOWA, Ore. (AP) – A motorcycle rider has been killed in a collision with a deer on Highway 82 in northeast Oregon. State Police say the victim was leading a group of four motorcycles Saturday night when his bike hit the deer. The Oregonian reports 62-year-old Tony Sumpter of Union landed in the oncoming lane where he was struck and killed by a vehicle. His passenger declined medical treatment.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A man and woman from Bakersfield, Calif., were killed in a rollover accident last night on I-84 east of Portland. The Multnomah County sheriff’s office says three people were ejected from a minivan as it rolled. An 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man died, and third person in the van remains hospitalized.
