Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…

On the volleyball court last night… Siuslaw remains undefeated and alone atop the Far West League at the season’s midpoint after easily getting past South Umpqua in three games.   Lacey DeSantis had 14 perfect serve-receive passes and three aces in the win and the team served at a 90-percent success rate.  In other Far West matches last night, North Bend beat Douglas 3-1; Sutherlin beat Brookings-Harbor in three games.

Reedsport edged Myrtle Point in five games.  At ten-and-four on the season they remain the number one ranked team in the 2A division.

In the Mountain West League the Mapleton Sailors are in fourth place at the midpoint of the season with a five-and-three league record.  They edged Siletz Valley in three games at home.

Let’s look at the schedule…

Prep football tonight, Siuslaw will host Sutherlin at seven… the pregame show on Coast Radio Sports is set for 6:45.  Reedsport will host Gold Beach and Mapleton will be in Blue River where they’ll take on McKenzie.

The top ranked Siuslaw Boys cross Country team will be competing at the Paul Mariman Invitational tomorrow in Philomath along with the girls.

On the college gridiron tomorrow… Number 14 Oregon State will face Washington State at Reser Stadium with a three o’clock kickoff.  The pregame show on KCFM begins at two.  It’s another evening game for number two Oregon at Autzen Stadium as they host the Washington Huskies at 7:30… the pregame on KCST is set for six.
