Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…
The Oregon Ducks wound up number four in the final BCS rankings and they’ll be celebrating with a fiesta… Oregon will face Kansas State, January 3rd in Glendale, Arizona at the Fiesta Bowl.
Oregon State will be facing Texas in the December 29th Alamo Bowl in San Antonio. The Beavers ended the regular season with a high scoring 77-3 win over the Nicholls State Colonels Saturday at Reser Stadium.
On the hardwood…
Oregon State fell to number ten Kansas by six points, 84-78 Friday evening in Kansas City. Oregon improved to seven-and-one on the season with an 80-59 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff yesterday afternoon in Eugene.
On the prep court…
Girls basketball: Reedsport claimed the tourney title in Waldport with a pair of victories… opening with a 38-20 win over Toledo, then downing the host team, Waldport, 43-17 to win the final. In Mapleton, the Lady Sailors under Charnae Decker, picked up a win in their first game… 48-26 over Powers.
For the boys… The Sailors ran past Powers 65-21. Reedsport fell to Toledo 57-42.
On the schedule tonight… the Siuslaw Vikings will open the prep schedule against the Marshfield Pirates… the girls in Florence, the boys in Coos Bay. Both games tip off at seven… the boys game will air on Coast Radio Sports with the airtime at 6:45.
