Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

CHICAGO (AP) – Russell Wilson connected with Sidney Rice on a 13-yard touchdown with 7:33 left in overtime to lift the Seattle Seahawks to a wild 23-17 victory over the Chicago Bears yesterday. Unbeaten in five home games, the Seahawks finally figured a way to win on the road after dropping five of their first six, and knocked off the NFC North leaders in the process.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) – Oregon will meet Kansas State in another marquee matchup at the Fiesta Bowl. The fifth-ranked Ducks and seventh-ranked Wildcats will play in the Jan. 3 game at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. Both teams are 11-1 and were once the top teams in the BCS standings. They fell to Nos. 4 and 5 after losing the same day last month.

UNDATED (AP) – Texas will make a short postseason trip this year to face No. 15 Oregon State in the Alamo Bowl. The Longhorns will need only to zip down Interstate 35 to San Antonio for the Dec. 29 game. It will be Texas’ first appearance in the bowl since 2006. Oregon State is 9-3. The Beavers will be playing in a bowl game for the first time in three years.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) – The Las Vegas Bowl will have a Northwest flavor with a matchup featuring No. 20 Boise State and Washington. The Broncos and Huskies accepted invitations to the Dec. 22 bowl yesterday, setting up just the second-ever matchup between the two schools from neighboring states. Washington is 7-5 and is making its third straight bowl appearance.

SEATTLE (AP) – C.J. Wilcox made a pair of free throws with 3.6 seconds left to help give the Washington Huskies a comeback 74-72 victory over Cal-State Fullerton last night. Wilcox, who had a team-high 21 points, was fouled by Alex Harris, just after Harris made a 3-pointer from the right baseline to tie the game at 72. Husky guard Andrew Andrews finished with 13 points.

SEATTLE (AP) – Anthony Drmic had 25 points, tying his season high, and Boise State beat Seattle 87-64. Mikey Thompson scored 19 points and Derrick Marks added 14 points for the Broncos, who won at No. 11 Creighton earlier in the week. Boise State’s only loss was by four points at No. 13 Michigan State last month. Seattle’s 10-game home winning streak came to an end.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – Chiney Ogwumike (ah-GWOO’-mih-kay) had 21 points and 11 rebounds to help No. 1 Stanford beat Gonzaga 69-41 yesterday. Taylor Greenfield added a career-high 18 points, hitting six 3-pointers, for Stanford. Joslyn Tinkle added 16 points. Taelor Karr and Haiden Palmer led cold-shooting Gonzaga with 10 points each.
