PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland police say two boys, ages 11 and 7, attempted to rob a woman with a loaded gun. Detectives are investigating how the boys obtained a gun.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – The murder case against an Oregon judge’s daughter has fallen apart. The Corvallis Gazette-Times says the pending dismissal of the case against 46-yearold Lorraine Sarich comes after prosecutors were unable to use the woman’s developmentally disabled son as a key witness. Sarich had been charged with killing William Mills in order to conceal the commission of identity theft.
