Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – Police say a man who was upset he couldn’t watch local Fox programming from his satellite TV provider threatened to blow up the KMVU Fox 26 station in Medford and shoot a specific employee. Police arrested 47-year-old Jeffry Sebastian Wednesday on charges of attempted coercion and harassment. The Mail Tribune reports Sebastian can watch Fox programs on the jail’s TV sets.

HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) – A manslaughter charge has been filed against a woman who had a seizure before her car struck and killed a 17-year-old pedestrian in Aloha. KATU reports 41-year-old Michelle Young of Aloha pleaded not guilty yesterday in the September death of Max McGregor. Washington County deputies say Young had been treated at a hospital earlier that day for another seizure and was advised not to drive.

MILL CITY, Ore. (AP) – The Linn County sheriff’s office says a Mill City resident returned home yesterday to find a man going through his personal items. When confronted, the intruder knocked down the 70-year-old homeowner, sprayed him in the face with pepper spray and ran off. The suspect was found trying to wash off pepper spray residue at a laundromat. The 49-year-old transient from Salem is jailed on burglary, assault and other charges.

SHERWOOD, Ore. (AP) – The city of Sherwood has been trying to decide whether to demolish or redevelop a former warehouse as part of the makeover of its Old Town area. That decision was made easier by city inspectors who found roof support trusses are failing in the 50-year-old building. Plans had called for a $10 million renovation to turn it into a community center. The Oregonian reports the city’s Urban Renewal Board will consider a resolution next week to demolish the building.
