PRINEVILLE, Ore. (AP) – The Crook County sheriff’s office says a 13-year-old Klamath Falls boy was seriously injured in an off-road motorcycle crash yesterday afternoon near Prineville. Deputies say the boy and his father were riding in one direction when they encountered an oncoming motorcycle. Sgt. James Savage told KTVZ the boy was apparently startled and flipped his bike.

TILLAMOOK, Ore. (AP) – Oregon State Police say the man suspected of killing a teenage Beaverton girl killed himself in northern California. Police say 24-year-old Jacob Allen Green fatally shot himself Saturday in Humboldt County. He was the suspect in the Friday night shooting of 16-year-old Kayla Ann Hendrickson. Her body was found along Highway 6 about 18 miles east of Tillamook.

FOREST GROVE, Ore. (AP) – A Washington County sheriff’s deputy is recovering from a gunshot wound received last night in Forest Grove while responding to a disturbance between an off-duty Hillsboro officer and his wife. The deputy’s wound is described as non-life-threatening. The Oregonian reports the Hillsboro officer was arrested on multiple charges and booked into the Washington County Jail.

HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) – Sheriff’s deputies say they’re investigating what they believe to be a gang-related shooting in Washington County. A man was shot in the back Saturday night as he walked along a street in Aloha. He was in critical condition at Emmanuel Hospital on yesterday. Investigators say witness statements indicate it was gang-related, but deputies did not release further information.
