Four-way tie reinstated in boys Far West Basketball

J.B. Dodson scored 17 points and was a perfect 4-for-4 down the line as the Siuslaw Vikings held off the Sutherlin Bulldogs 56 – 50 for a boys Far West basketball win at home last night.  Brookings beat Douglas 57 – 44 and North Bend got by South Umpqua 55 -46 to reinstate a four-way tie for 2nd place in the Far West with North Bend the top and Douglas at the bottom.

In Coquille, the Red Devils downed the Reedsport Braves 54 – 31 and in the Mountain West, it was Crow over Mapleton 88 -41.

For the girls, the number one ranked Sutherlin Bulldogs dominated the Siuslaw Vikings 48 – 16 to remain undefeated on the season.  North Bend edged South Umpqua 40 – 38 and Brookings beat Douglas 50 -42.

Coquille downed the Lady Braves of Reedsport 50 -35 and Mapleton clipped Crow 52 – 22.

Number 10 Oregon is on the court this evening.  The Ducks take on the Stanford Cardinal in the Bay Area at 8 PM.  Airtime on Coast Radio Sports is at 7:30.
