GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) – Police have located three Gresham children who were reported missing after their grandmother failed to return them to their mother yesterday. A dispatcher told The Oregonian the children are unharmed. Police were concerned because they said the grandmother may have been having a mental health crisis.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A weekend autopsy confirmed that a 52-year-old woman found dead Saturday in a Portland home had been shot. The Oregonian reports a 56-year-old man from the home is recovering from a gunshot wound. Earlier reports indicated he shot himself in the head.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A Portland woman has found work as a chicken sitter. KATU reports Linda Walker heard that people leaving town for a vacation or weekend getaway needed help caring for their chickens. So she made it her job. She’ll feed, collect eggs and keep an eye on chickens until the owners return.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Oregon is $3.78. That’s up 7 cents in a week and 31 cents in a month. It’s 3 cents higher than the national average. Some metro prices — Portland $3.77, Salem $3.79, Eugene-Springfield $3.84, Medford-Ashland $3.83.
