PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A man fatally wounded by Portland police after they say he fired at them was an Iraq war veteran who had talked to a TV station about the challenges of post-traumatic stress disorder. The Multnomah County medical examiner’s office says 32-year-old Santiago A. Cisneros III died of the injuries received Monday night. Two officers say the man had a shotgun and fired at them when they encountered him on a parking lot roof in northeast Portland. They say they returned fire. Cisneros died at a Portland hospital. No officers were injured. In 2009, Cisneros said he had tried to kill himself eight months after leaving Iraq.

PORTLAND, Ore. U.S. Attorney Amanda Marshall says 48-year-old Reaz Qadir Khan was arrested yesterday at his home and charged with one count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists. He pleaded not guilty in federal court. A detention hearing is set for today.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police say a 4-month-old baby reported missing from a southeast Portland home has been found safe and a 17-year-old relative has been arrested for investigation of second-degree kidnapping. Police say detectives have arrested a young female relative of the child’s mother after extensive interviews.
