SALEM, Ore. (AP) – The Oregon Supreme Court will hear arguments this week in a request by convicted murderer Gary Haugen to be executed. Haugen is seeking to reject an unconditional reprieve issued by Gov. John Kitzhaber in 2011. Kitzhaber argues Haugen has no legal right to reject a reprieve.

GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) __ Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Gresham. Officers responded to a report of shots fired about 6:30 last night and found the body of a man. Police are looking for an unknown number of suspects who fled.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police say a Southwest Portland man whose body was found on Saturday died of blunt force trauma to his head. Police have identified the man as 25-year-old Charles Anthony Weber. His body was found inside a home after officers responded to a report of a disturbance and assault.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The AAA auto club reports the average price of gasoline in Oregon is $3.80 a gallon. That’s up 2 cents in a week and 24 cents in a month. It’s 10 cents higher than the national average, which dropped a nickel in a week. The highest price in the survey was $3.86 in Eugene and Springfield.
