PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Oregon is $3.69. That’s down 2 cents in a week and 11 cents in a month. Some metro prices — Portland $3.67, Salem $3.67, Eugene-Springfield $3.71, Medford-Ashland $3.73.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – After four months of private sessions, the Salem-Keizer School Board is scheduled to hold a public discussion tomorrow on plans to sell the Middle Grove Elementary School building. The Statesman Journal reports the school was built in the 1940s and closed last June. Parents said it fell short of what modern classrooms need.

REDMOND, Ore. (AP) – Witnesses thought a house that was being moved yesterday on Highway 126 was stuck on a bridge near Eagle Crest Resort. But ODOT told KTVZ the movers had stopped to readjust the load, raising it to clear the railing. The bridge was closed for about 45 minutes. The house was slowly moved from Tumalo to Terrebonne.

WOODBURN, Ore. (AP) – Visitors braved the weekend’s wind and rain to take in views of blooming flowers at the Woodburn Tulip Festival. Farm co-owner Jane Iverson told the Statesman Journal that the tulips are ahead of schedule this year. The festival runs through May. 5.
