PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police say a carjacking suspect armed with a knife was caught and held by witnesses after he threatened a man with a gun in Portland. Police say the man who had been driving a stolen car, carjacked a truck yesterday in the parking lot of a Clackamas County motel.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A 30-year-old man who surrendered to authorities after a fatal shooting outside a Portland strip club is expected to be arraigned today. Police say Bradley O’Rourke faces several charges including murder. Investigators say Anton Hill died outside Club Skinn early Wednesday after being shot in the head and a young woman remains hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the arm.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – The Lane County Sheriff’s Office has identified two men killed in a rollover crash between Junction City and Eugene. The agency says 43-year-old Luke Hankinson of Junction City and 26-year-old Christopher Conkling of Harrisburg died when the Camaro they were in crashed early Saturday. Investigators say alcohol and speeding likely played a role.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – The University of Oregon says that tennis player Alex Rovello has died in a diving accident at Tamolitch Falls in the Willamette National Forest. Linn County deputies say friends and bystanders tried to rescue Rovello on Saturday after he failed to surface in the Blue Pool at the base off the falls, but they were hampered by the depth of the pool and 37-degree water. A native of Portland, Rovello was a standout at Cleveland High School.
