OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) – The father of missing Utah mother Susan Powell says authorities have spent two days searching a rural Oregon property for her remains. Chuck Cox says the search didn’t turn up any sign of his daughter. He says the property east of Salem, Ore., was in a remote area but had ties to the Powell family. Cox says he’s disappointed but will continue searching for his daughter.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The final video of a man who was killed while attempting to dribble a soccer ball from Seattle to Brazil shows him smiling and happy on an Oregon beach on his planned 10,000-mile walk. Richard Swanson uploaded the video to his Facebook page on Tuesday, about an hour before he was fatally struck by a pickup truck on Oregon’s busy U.S. Highway 101.

ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) – Roseburg police say a 34-year-old woman has been accused of giving her teenage son a cookie with medical marijuana in it. The Roseburg News-Review reported that 34-year-old Terrianne Christine Rowe was arrested about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. She was booked with bail set at $100,000. Police say the son is 14.

HOOD RIVER, Ore. (AP) – A couple planning a wedding say they were denied a cake by a Hood River baker because they are lesbians. Erin Hanson and Katie Pugh told KATU when they went for a tasting at Fleur Cakes, owner Pam Regentin refused service due to the lesbian relationship. Despite an anti-discrimination law, she believes she has “the liberty to live by my principles.”
