The Beavers are headed to Omaha…

Oregon State held off Kansas State 4-3 last night in Corvallis to capture the third and deciding game of the Corvallis Super Regional.

Danny Hayes hit a two-run home run; Ben Wetzler struck out five, walked five and gave up three earned runs over 7 2/3 innings of work; and Matt Boyd held off the Wildcats for his first save of the season.

Oregon State returns to Omaha for the College Baseball World Series for the first time since they won it all in 2007.

They’ll face Mississippi State Saturday to open the eight-team tournament.

OSU Basketball Facility

It may still be baseball season, but they’re celebrating basketball today in Corvallis.  The grand opening for a new basketball center will feature Beaver coaches and Oregon State legend A.C. Green.  The 4-story, 34-thousand square foot; $15-million OSU Basketball Centerhas two regulation courts and locker rooms along with training and medical facilities for men’s and women’s basketball.
