Sandblasters Stumble
Things fell apart in the eighth inning last night for the Three Rivers Sandblasters when they committed two errors and gave up three runs and the lead to the Springfield Titans. The Titans held the lead through the ninth and came away with the 8-6 win in Florence.
The Sandblasters will be at the North Eugene Tournament beginning today and running through Sunday… then back at home next Tuesday against Corvallis.
Northwest League Baseball
In the Northwest League, the Eugene Emeralds tied it at two-all in the bottom of the ninth last night and extended the game to 11 innings before coming away with a 3-2 win over the Hillsboro Hops in Eugene. The two teams wrap up their three game series this evening at PK Park. The Emeralds head to Spokane tomorrow where they begin a five game series against the Indians.
