OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) – Police say an 80-year-old Oregon City man walked with his cane and a shotgun to a nearby bar to complain about loud music. Witnesses say the man pointed the gun at a patron of the Ice House Bar last Saturday evening before walking away. Police found him at his home two blocks away and jailed him on charges of menacing and disorderly conduct.

BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) – Baker City officials say eight people have been sickened by a waterborne parasite, and they suspect the source is a lake where mountain goats live. The Baker City Herald reports the illnesses were confirmed yesterday. It reported there are likely other cases. The parasite is cryptosporidium, which causes severe diarrhea. A common source is animal feces.
