WOODBURN, Ore. (AP) – A 23-year-old man has been beaten to death in Woodburn. The Oregonian reports officers found the man when they responded to a report of an assault early yesterday, and he died later at a hospital. Woodburn police are investigating.
MILWAUKIE, Ore. (AP) – The Clackamas County sheriff’s office says a woman was driving under the influence yesterday morning when her vehicle hit a motorcycle in Milwaukie. The rider was thrown about 20 feet. He was taken to a hospital with leg injuries. KATU reports the woman driving the car had a blood alcohol content almost twice the legal limit. She was arrested and jailed for DUII.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A motorcycle hit a pedestrian last night in Portland. Police say the pedestrian was taken to a hospital with life threatening injuries. The motorcycle rider was treated at the scene for minor injuries and cooperated with investigators.
MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – A teen who picked up a snake at Applegate west of Medford didn’t know it was a rattler until he saw two puncture marks in his finger. Applegate Fire officials tell The Mail Tribune it was a baby timber rattler that had not yet grown its rattles. Rescuers took the boy to a Medford hospital for treatment, and authorities say he appeared to be doing well.
