An autopsy by the Oregon State Medical Examiner yesterday found the teen died from a gunshot wound to the head. The other victim, 22-year-old Lucio Alejandro Ramirez-Navarro, remains in Portland hospital recovering from his injuries.

ASHLAND, Ore. (AP) – Authorities in Jackson County say an Ashland man whose body was found inside a mobile home last week died of a homicide. An autopsy performed Saturday found that 62-year-old Frank Damiano died of a homicide, but sheriff’s officials did not release further details. Sheriff’s deputies were conducting a welfare check on Damiano’s home Thursday when they found his body inside. Damiano also went by the name Tony DellaPenna.

LAGRANDE, Ore. (AP) – A memorial service has been scheduled for an Oregon man who was killed last week while walking across the country to raise awareness about bullying. The service to honor 48-year-old Joseph Bell of La Grande, Ore., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Gilbert Event Center on the Eastern Oregon University campus in La Grande. Bell died Wednesday after being struck along a two-lane highway in a rural area of eastern Colorado. Investigators believe the driver fell asleep.

SISTERS, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say two people are dead in a two vehicle crash that occurred after a driver veered to avoid hitting a deer on Highway 20. The Deschutes County Sheriff’s office says a sedan and a pickup truck collided shortly before noon Saturday about one mile west of Sisters. The office says the sedan’s 23-year-old driver, Austin Jacob McNelis, and an 18-year-old passenger, Kayla Marie Basham, were killed.
