Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) – Damian Lillard’s spinning fadeaway with one-tenth of a second left in overtime lifted the Portland Trail Blazers to a 111-109 victory over the Detroit Pistons last night. Lillard was guarded well by Rodney Stuckey as he tried to drive to the basket, but he was able to hit a tough fadeaway from about 8 feet for the win. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points for Portland, which rallied from a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) – Marshawn Lynch scored on a twisting 2-yard run, Seattle picked off five Eli Manning passes and manhandled the New York Giants 23-0 yesterday. The Seahawks are closing in on the NFC West title and their best overall record; they went 13-3 in 2005 before losing to Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl. The Seahawks will be the NFC favorite to reach the first outdoor Super Bowl in a cold weather city.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Royce Woolridge had a season high 20 points and freshmen Que Johnson added 14 to help Washington State beat Pepperdine 78-61 yesterday. Washington State opened with a 10-0 run and led by as many as 16 in the first half, taking a 41-26 lead at intermission. The Cougars never trailed in the game.

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) – Luke Nelson scored 13 points off the bench to lead UC Irvine to a 70-61 win over Eastern Washington yesterday. UC Irvine used a 12-3 run to jump out to a 22-13 first-half lead. Eastern Washington responded, taking the 31-29 lead on an Ognjen Miljkovic layup with 24 seconds left in the half. The Eagles would cut the lead to four multiple times, but Irvine always had the answer.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Marcus Colbert and Flavien Davis both scored 19 points to lead Montana State in a defeat of Portland 72-69 yesterday. Colbert had seven assists and six rebounds, while Terrell Brown added 11 points for the visiting Bobcats. The Pilots held an 11-point first half lead at 26-15 after Thomas van der Mars’ emphatic dunk with 5:50 left. But Montana State scored the next eight points and trailed by just two at intermission.
