PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The Oregon Department of Transportation has notified 39 employees they must pay back overtime wages that were paid by mistake. Amounts vary but the total is nearly $12,000. The Oregonian reports the union is disputing the overpayment sand asking that collections be delayed or negotiated.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Two southwest Washington residents and two people from the Portland area accused of selling meth online to customers as far away as Europe and Australia have been indicted on federal charges. The indictment names Richard Webster and Donald Bechen, both of Aloha. They and the two others are accused of using the now-shuttered black market website Silk Road to sell more than 17 pounds of meth for virtual currency that can be exchanged for cash.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – A Marion County grand jury has indicted a 25-year-old man accused of wounding a sheriff’s deputy Dec. 6 after a police chase ended at a Christmas tree farm outside Salem. The grand jury also said yesterday that the deputy and a Silverton police officer were justified in firing at Cody Edwards of Dallas, Ore. A young woman with Edwards was indicted on four charges.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Kevin Love had 29 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 120-109 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers last night. Damian Lillard had 36 points, six assists and six rebounds and LaMarcus Aldridge had 15 points and 14 boards for the weary Trail Blazers, who lost for the first time in six games. It was just their fifth loss of the season.
