LA PINE, Ore. (AP) – A Deschutes County sheriff’s dog last night tracked down a wanted man who ran from a vehicle off Highway 97 near La Pine. State Police had told residents to be on the lookout for 48-year-old Craig Marcum. He was wanted for violating terms of release on charges that included burglary and attempting to elude police.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police suspect a 29-year-old Polk County man and his family of involvement in a scheme that involved trading food stamp cards for cash and drugs. KGW-TV reports Randall Moore faces charges that include food stamp fraud and possession of methamphetamine. Police also arrested William Moore and Shellie Utley.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – A plaque of President Barack Obama has been vandalized so many times at a Eugene park that project officials have been forced to remove it. The President’s plaque has been a prime target since the Nobel Peace Park opened last spring to honor U.S. winners of the international Nobel Peace Prize and to promote peace education. Obama won the prize in 2009.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) – Stephen Curry had 38 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, and the Golden State Warriors smothered the Portland Trail Blazers 103-88 last night. Golden State outshot Portland 41.8 percent to 33.7 percent and forced 15 turnovers while committing only nine. Damian Lillard had 16 points and four assists, and Wesley Matthews scored 21 for the Blazers.
