OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) – Stephen Curry had 38 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, and the Golden State Warriors used a smothering defense to beat the Portland Trail Blazers 103-88 last night. Golden State outshot Portland 41.8 percent to 33.7 percent and forced 15 turnovers while committing only nine. Damian Lillard had 16 points and four assists, and Wesley Matthews scored 21 for the Blazers.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Jason Calliste came off the bench and scored 20 points to help Oregon blow past Washington State 71-44 yesterday. Joseph Young added 10 points and Mike Moser chipped in nine points and nine rebounds to help Oregon (14-5, 2-5 Pac-12) end a five game skid. Que Johnson had nine points for Washington State, all coming from behind the arc and no other Cougar scored more than seven points.

CORVALLIS, Oregon (AP) – Deven Hunter scored 16 points and logged 10 rebounds in helping Oregon State get past Washington State 72-57 yesterday. Sydney Wiese added 15, while Ruth Hamblin nabbed 12 rebounds and 13 points for OSU (12-8, 4-4 Pac-12). The Beavers cooled slightly in the second period, but ended the game shooting 48 percent.

EUGENE, Oregon (AP) – Jillian Alleyne scored 34 points and grabbed 25 rebounds, both season highs, as Oregon completed a home-court sweep of the Washington Pac-12 schools in defeating the Huskies 101-85 yesterday. Alleyne earned her 17th double-double of the season in the first 15 minutes of play, while Lexi Petersen added 23 points for the Oregon.
