SAN ANTONIO (AP) – Patty Mills scored 15 points, Tim Duncan had 10 points and 11 rebounds in limited minutes, and the San Antonio Spurs rolled to their eighth straight win with a 103-90 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers yesterday night. Damian Lillard had 23 points for Portland, which lost LaMarcus Aldridge to a bruised back early in the second half.

LAS VEGAS (AP) – Chasson Randle scored 22 points, Josh Powell added 16 and sixth-seeded Stanford used a big second-half run to pull away for a 74-63 win over Washington State in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament yesterday night. Stanford (20-11) shot 58 percent against the 11th-seeded Cougars and used a 16-4 run in the second half to take control of what had been a tight game.

LAS VEGAS (AP) – Joseph Young scored 15 of his 19 points in the second half and Oregon pulled away for an 88-74 victory over Oregon State in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament yesterday. The defending tournament champion Ducks (23-8) came through after a shaky start, relying on their depth and superb second-half shooting to earn a spot in today’s quarterfinals against second-seeded UCLA.

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) – Chris Higgins had the only goal in the shootout and the Vancouver Canucks beat the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 last night, rebounding from a third-period collapse in their last game. The Canucks, 2-4-1 in their last seven games, allowed seven goals in the third period in a 7-4 home loss to the New York Islanders on Monday night.
