PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Dorell Wright hit a 3-pointer with 7.9 seconds left and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the late-charging Sacramento Kings 100-99 last night. Ray McCallum missed a 21-foot jumper as time ran out for the Kings and Portland’s Robin Lopez grabbed the rebound and held it tight for the victory. LaMarcus Aldridge had 22 points to lead the Blazers, who have won six of their past seven games.

SEATTLE (AP) – Albert Pujols homered for the second straight game while Garrett Richards and two relievers combined on one-hitter as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Seattle Mariners 2-0 on last night. Richards (2-0) threw seven shutout innings. Abraham Almonte was the only Seattle batter to reach via hit when he singled in the third inning.

SEATTLE (AP) – The Mariners will be without left-hander James Paxton after he was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained muscle on the left side of his back. Seattle announced the move yesterday after an MRI confirmed the original diagnosis of a strained muscle. Seattle recalled left-hander Lucas Luetge from Triple-A Tacoma to take Paxton’s roster spot.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Paul Goldschmidt hit a three-run homer and sacrifice fly to pound Tim Lincecum again, and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Francisco Giants 7-3 last night. Gerardo Parra hit a two-run homer and Eric Chavez added an RBI triple for his first hit in his first start of the year for Arizona.
