PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A mother has objected to the actions of two Portland police officers investigating a fight at a youth club who came to her home and led away her 9-year-old daughter in handcuffs. The girl was wearing a swimsuit at the time, in May 2013. The fight was a week earlier. The Oregonian reports a Portland panel that hears allegations of police misconduct will investigate the complaint today.

MADRAS, Ore. (AP) – Bloody clothes that apparently belonged to an escaped Deer Ridge prison inmate were found in an empty lot in downtown Madras. Jefferson County Sheriff Jim Adkins tells KTVZ the blood will be compared with blood found in a stolen car and on a fence at the prison Clinton Orvill Swearingen escaped Sunday. Police are still looking for him.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) – A federal prosecutor says the man accused of trying to blow up the district attorney’s office in Medford will plead guilty. Court records say Alan Leroy McVay is to appear Monday in federal court in Medford to change his plea.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) – Tony Parker had 33 points and nine assists and the San Antonio Spurs never trailed in a resounding 116-92 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals last night. LaMarcus Aldridge had 32 points and 14 rebounds and Damian Lillard had 17 points for Portland, but the All-Star duo combined for just 17 points in the first half as San Antonio built a 26-point lead.
