PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police say a 34-year-old man and a 4-year-old girl have been found dead in a north Portland home. The Oregonian reports that Sgt. Pete Simpson says the two are believed to be related. Police found the bodies last evening. Simpson says there have been no arrests and police are not looking for any suspects.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Jurors in Lane County have convicted a 58-year-old man of aggravated murder in the 2012 death of a young man from Eugene. The Register-Guard says the jury also found David Ray Taylor guilty of robbery for two bank holdups in 2012. Jurors found that Taylor kidnapped and robbed Celestino Gutierrez, the murder victim. Jurors will next decide whether Taylor should be sentenced to death or to life without parole.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police are trying to find the owner of a “significant” sum of money found at the Lloyd Center Mall in Portland. A good Samaritan who found the money yesterday turned it over to police. To claim the money you’ll have to identify the amount and explain how it was lost.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) – The San Antonio Spurs rolled to a 114-97 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers last night for a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference semifinals. The Trail Blazers host Game 3 tomorrow night. Nicolas Batum scored 21 points for Portland, who again struggled against the Spurs’ defense. Before the game, the Blazers were little rattled when a rattlesnake estimated at 3 to 4 feet long was discovered in the team’s locker room at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
