DENVER (AP) – LaMarcus Aldridge scored a season-high 39 points and set up the winning basket on a pass inside to Robin Lopez with 1.3 seconds left, helping the Portland Trail Blazers rally for a 105-103 win over the Denver Nuggets last night. Danilo Gallinari’s 3-pointer at the buzzer was well short as the Blazers won their seventh straight over Denver.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – Kyle Wiltjer scored 20 points as No. 9 Gonzaga used a big second half to beat scrappy Southeastern Louisiana 76-57 yesterday. Domantas Sabonis added 14 points and Kevin Pangos 12 for Gonzaga (7-0), which trailed after the first half. Joshua Filmore had 14 points and Zay Jackson and DeVonte Upson each scored 12 for Southeastern Louisiana (2-6) of the Southland Conference.

SEATTLE (AP) – The Seattle Mariners have officially announced a seven-year contract with third baseman Kyle Seager that will keep him with the club through at least the 2021 season. The Mariners announced the deal after the sides reached agreement on the $100 million contract. The contract includes a club option for the 2022 season.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Daniel Sedin scored two of Vancouver’s three power-play goals and assisted on the other. Sedin scored the winner at 9:39 of the third period when he took a pass from twin brother Henrik in the left circle and fired a shot to the far side of Braden Holtby. The Canucks, 2-1 on their seven-game road trip, bounced back from Sunday’s loss at Detroit. They haven’t dropped back-to-back games since mid-October.
